I went for a job interview a couple of weeks ago and the interviewers asked what I was interested and how I liked spending my free time. I haven’t thought of that question in awhile so I responded pathetically with, “I like playing soccer? and hanging out with my friends…?” They had to prompt me, because they had read a few post on my blog and saw that I liked the Blue Jays. Needless to say I didn’t get hired. However, it has prompted me to start getting back into things I liked to do and expand on the interests I currently have.
Things I like doing:
Reading: I love reading. Harry Potter is my favourite. I actually read the entire series to the 9 year old boy I was looking after as an au pair. Recently I joined a sci-fi/fantasy book club at work and the first book we’re reading is Brave New World. Oh and I’m also on the Game of Thrones bandwagon – you should probably hop on as well.
Golfing: Even though I’m not great at it I always enjoy going out for a round of golf with my Dad.
Photography: I love taking pictures of people and whenever my friends and I go for adventures I’m alway the one with a camera.
Soccer: I’ve been playing soccer since I was 4, so its always been a big part of my life.
That’s all I can think of right now, but I’m sure I’ll post a part II soon enough.
Big thanks to Carly for taking all these lovely pictures! Be sure to check out her blog Style Snapshot.

I got this dress from a local shop here in Victoria and it was 50% off. My Mom and I had just been to the grocery store to buy salmon, popsicles and other perishable foods when she decided she wanted a bottle of wine. As we were walking to the liquour store I decided to pop into True Boutique. It was lucky I did because I found this wonderful dress and a couple other tops. Needless to say the popsicles were a bit melted when we got home, but the salmon was fine.
I decided to fancy up my dress by wearing heels, a blazer and red lipstick. I’m not used to wearing lipstick, so it got everywhere. Occasionally I would look at my fingers, see it smeared there, and panic. I don’t think I got any on my clothes, but I managed to get it all over my teeth.
Carly and I ventured to Fisherman’s Wharf to take these photos in the wind and sun. She had a constant battle with the wind, her hair, and lip gloss, so I was glad I wore my hair up. I imagine I would have little lines of lipstick all over my face!
Lots of love,
